Here is my update for yesterday (20/09/14) which makes it day TWENTY-TWO! Ah I’m so proud of myself :-). I know I wouldn’t be keeping up with this diet if it wasn’t for this blog so I thank each and every person to visits/likes/reblogs my posts!
Yesterday was a mediocre day:
Breakfast: 1 gala apple 47kcal.
Lunch: Birdseye fish fingers 180kcal, Tomato ketchup 27kcal, Cherry bakewell tart 215kcal.
Tea: Chilli con carne 150kcal, Brown rice 152kcal, barbecue sauce 21kcal, a WHOLE big bar of Milky Bar White Chocolate Bar 550kcal.
Snacks: Frozen mango chunks 20kcal, Cranberry and Raspberry Juice 100kcal.
Exercise- 64 lengths swimming burnt 333kcal.
Total input: 1,462-333= 1,129kcal.
Not bad, under 1,200 so should be still losing some decent weight :-).
On Wednesday, was my friend’s birthday party and my self control went completely out of the window! I am going to try and remember/summarise the amount I ate and work out the potential calories. I was full to the brim and yet I still continued to eat- why? Because I was ‘at a party’. Rubbish excuse. Back to dieting today, I’m going to eat next to nothing to make up for being greedy.

So my overall total for the day was: 2,611!
Literally awful and with the McDonald’s I ate on my night out (09.09.14) I have eaten the equivalent of a pound (3,500kcal) and so will be putting that on, great. Major slipback but it’s ok, I knew this was going to be hard and I’m not about to give up!
I had an ok day today, I woke up this morning and my knee was ceased up and incredibly painful from the exercise I have been doing and so I was forced to have a day off. I was craving going on the treadmill (yes I know-mad!). Unfortunately this means I have not burnt any of the calories I have eaten.
Here is my myfitnesspal update for the 02/09/14:
Lunch: Cooked ham 28kcal, 4x aldi gourmet sea salt crackers 95kcal, creamy horseradish sauce 30kcal, roast beef 29kcal, coleslaw 50kcal, shredded beetroot 34kcal and cucumber 8kcal.
Tea: Thai green curry 300kcal (approx.), white rice 200kcal, mango chutney 15kcal.
Dessert: Strawberry and banana smoothie 55kcal, white chocolate 119kcal.
Snacks: 2x green tea 2kcal, 2x raspberries 4kcal, nectarine 70kcal, cranberry juice 46kcal
Overall intake is +1,085 which is awful compared to what I have been doing and is by far the worst day. I really need to get back onto my exercise regime and hopefully I will do tomorrow. Unfortunately I am going out to eat tomorrow which will be interesting to see if I can still be under 1,200kcal. It should be ok as long as I am extremely careful in the day and eat next to nothing.
Today I went shopping for things for university and anything else I wanted. I went into New Look and bought this white jumper:
I was delighted to find that the 12 was overly large and so I bought a 10 that looks really nice. I went into the changing room and tried it on and when I took my clothes off and looked at myself in the mirror, I didn’t get as repulsed as I normally do! I actually thought my stomach was quite flat. Happy happy.
Today I commuting into university via train which took me around an hour and a half. I woke up throughout the night multiple times including at 4.30am when I was starving hungry. If this ever happened to me before this lifestyle change I would’ve gone downstairs and eaten something small but I didn’t. Unfortunately I stupidly didn’t have any water in my room either so that was an error. I did manage to get to sleep again and wake up 2 minutes before my alarm went off.
Then, on the train this morning I had to stand due to lack of seats and ended up feeling a bit light headed. It went off and I headed to my lecture. Lectures were ok and my stomach didn’t actually rumble that much- it did once then stopped luckily so I didn’t have the embarrassment- phew! I was a bit annoyed because my frozen raspberries melted with a lot more water than originally anticipated and so I couldn’t eat them. I was even more annoyed because on the way home on the train, my stomach was rumbling SO much and I was so hungry and so… I had to eat my emergency cake bar- 199kcal of pure fat. Gutted. Get it? It’s now situated on my gut. Great.
Here is my daily myfitnesspal update for 01/09/14:
Lunch: 6x cherry tomatoes 24kcal, cucumber 16kcal, green pepper 15kcal and mango chutney 51kcal
Tea: Lamb lasagne (homemade and delicious but don’t know the exact calories so put the worst possible situation) 600kcal, shredded beetroot 30kcal, lettuce 5kcal, cucumber 8kcal, 3x cherry tomatoes 12kcal.
Dessert: Low fat natural yogurt 65kcal with a tsp of strawberry jam 39kcal and 10 raspberries 20kcal.
Snacks: large orange 90kcal, 1 french kinder bueno chocolate cake bar 199kcal, 1 orange french sweet 20kcal, green tea 1kcal.
Exercise Jogging and walking intermittently -253kcal.
Overall total intake for 01/09/14: 942kcal.
I think this means that today is my worst day- partly because I didn’t do my JustDance exercise and my lasagne was probably not 600kcal but I would rather overestimate calories than under. Today has been a bit of a roller-coaster on the food and hunger front today. I felt exceptionally starving at least twice and was absolutely exhausted when I returned home after commuting but I FORCED myself on the treadmill and enjoyed it none the less. I am going to keep going because I am strong and motivated. No amount of shops and smells wafting over me in London can push me off the rails. I am on the line the fitness and beauty.
As the third day of my diet, it hasn’t really been all that bad. There has been at least ten times throughout my day when I could’ve eaten something/bought something- AMT at my town railway station, at King’s Cross where there is around 20 different food/drink outlets, walking through London Bridge where there is a crispy kreme donut van situated perfectally, luring in customers with their delicious smell, the McDonald’s pretty much on my campus, the campus cafe, at lunchtime when my friends suggested walking to Tesco express and I was surrounded by sandwiches and chocolate of all sorts and had to watch them as they bought sandwiches and pasta with 600kcal in (made me feel a bit sick)- seven that is and remember I had to walk past 5 of these twice. Why is it that the confectionery/food industry want us to be fat just for their profit? Well.. they can do one. I am not falling for their pathetic initial charm and delight and then long term fat and disappointment. I HATE YOU FOOD INDUSTRY, YOU SUCK.
Food is supposed to be a friend but the way they coerce you into buying their product and become fat and crave that product again and you spend money and get bigger and bigger and unhealthy and eventually die from hyperglycaemia (high sugar), type 2 diabetes mellitus or a myocardial infarction (heart attack).
Anyway, rant over and tomorrow is a new day. I am going shopping tomorrow and out to lunch so it will be interesting if I can stick to my low calorie diet plan!
Oh and one more thing I am proud to announce. I am officially 10st 13lbs! I cannot believe it. I am absolutely and utterly delighted. The fact I have lost like 4lbs in 3 days is crazy. For all you people who think I am starving myself to get like this and when I go back to eating ‘normally’ all the weight will pile back on- *NEWSFLASH* I am never going back to eating ‘normally’ because clearly, my idea of normal was not good for my body. I remember often at lunchtimes (were the worst) I would eat two pieces of cheese on white toast with chilli sauce beneath and salami, sweetcorn and pepper on top. I would still feel hungry after this and would reach for a yogurt, then two digestive biscuits and would still feel hungry. I would then eat an apple plus dried raisins (A lot!) and then a hot chocolate. Every weekend was the same and so this is where the extra fat on my thighs, arms and stomach has come from and I can’t believe I was stupid enough not to do anything, regardless of the fact I hated my body. It was like I’d given up. So now, I am paying for that but not for long. I will be my goal weight and these three days have already began to prove that I can do it.
So lets go!
Hi everyone, drawing to the end of the day, I thought I would share with you my myfitnesspal app and what my intake was like for the day. I have decided I will show a picture for ‘proof’ and I will type out exactly what I ate/drank and exercised.
(I woke up really late and didn’t feel like eating anything as I had eaten a lot the previous day).
Lunch: 2x small roasted sweet potato wedges (with a pinch of salt, pepper& garlic) 156kcal, 1 small red onion roasted 9kcal, tsp of tomato ketchup 21kcal.
Dinner: (I told you about my family dinners)- 2 Fajitas made up of 2 white wraps (278kcal), chicken breast with peppers and spices (320kcal), salad (40kcal).
Dessert: (This REALLY needs to be cut out altogether but I find this hard, especially when my entire family eats yogurts etc and I sit there with a glass of water). 1 Vanilla french yogurt 121kcal.
Snacks: (These as well should probably be cut out completely but without fruit in between meals, I would faint. You will see a reduction in these as the weeks go by hopefully). 6 raspberries (12kcal), praline french chocolate 173kcal, 1 orange french sweet 16kcal.
So my total food today is: 1,146kcals.
Total water: 2.5Litres
Exercise calories burned: Dance 237kcal and treadmill 81kcal.
So my overall calorie intake on 30/08/14 is 828kcal. This is the lowest it has been in months and I should hopefully start to see some results.
