Hi everyone, I apologise for the late updates but I have been super busy as per usual.

Hello beautifuls, today is the third day of my journey and I am feeling fit, healthy and ready for university! This picture is my lunch for today. In the container on the left you can see 1/4 chopped green pepper, half a large (homegrown) cucumber, 6 (homegrown) cherry tomatoes and a tbsp of mango chutney. It seems like an odd creation but I am obsessed with mango chutney and healthy veggies so for me this is delicious. On the top right hand blue bag you can see one large orange and below 20 frozen raspberries. This comes in at 228kcals (which is next to nothing). Especially as these three things count as breakfast, lunch and snacks for me. I will be taking no cash with me so I am not tempted to buy sweets/mints ‘to get me through the lecture’ which is too often my excuse. I am not having it, regardless of how hungry I am and how much my stomach rumbles. If I space these out throughout the morning, I will be fine. The error will be if I eat everything at once. My body likes to eat little and often, which is fine by me.
I have also decided that as a little treat, I will be taking with me a kinder bueno french chocolate/cake bar thing that my sister bought whilst on holiday. I will keep this as an emergency food and see if I really need it or not, I shouldn’t but I would rather have this there than faint. It is a whopping 199kcal so I will only eat it in an emergency. Ha- sounds like I have a medical condition or something, luckily I don’t.
Speaking of which, it may interest you to know that I am an adult nursing student so one of my roles in the healthcare system is to educate and promote health- I cannot do this if I am overweight really, can I? It is hypocritical. So some more *motivation* comes from my duty to help the public be healthy themselves and to live healthy lifestyles. I think also if I manage to lose this weight now then I will be able to empathise and assist people who also need to lose weight, as I have been in their situation. I often see overweight healthcare staff and I just wonder how. I find it interesting, somewhat logical but also discriminative that in an article I read the other day, people are planning on banning/firing overweight/obese nurses. I also read that employers often refuse people jobs based on their weight. Bit of a shocker there. Better get into shape for my future then :)- all aspects of it.
I just did some more research and read ‘Can overweight nurses make good nurses?” Wow, that one burns. That is a really harsh statement and I think the answer to their question is “Yes of course!” There is a lot of negative stigma around nurses and their intelligence, behaviour and care given, without their appearance as well! When will the public give nurses a break? Never. Anyway, rant over and let us not be a statistic!
