Daily Updates

Yay yay yay!

I have completed day one of the diet!

I have eaten-

This is one piece of wholemeal toast with two WHOLE tablespoons (30g) of peanut butter. Wow. That was a lot of peanut butter, way more than I would normally have eaten but still I enjoyed it, it felt like a treat to be honest ha. There is a caffeinated black tea with it. What is not included in this diet is the grapefruit that I was supposed to eat. I didn’t have any grapefruit in the house, unfortunately, so the substitution was for a half teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in water. I drank this and it was foul. However, it is supposed to kick start your metabolism or fat burning process in the liver!

Lunch was delish, but very little as you can see. This was all I ate. Usually I finish off with some other vegetables like cucumber and cherry tomatoes and I did actually crave them! However I stuck to my guns. So here, I drank one caffeinated tea again. I ate one piece of wholemeal toast with a can of tuna. I did season the tuna with salt and pepper which I don’t normally do, I would put a sauce on it but I didn’t.

Here is my dinner. They told us to eat a deck of cards sized piece of meat (85g) and a cup of green beans. I didn’t have either of these and so I ate 3 slices of ham, 1 slice of pastrami, a lot of lettuce and cucumber which came to about 31 calories which is the amount the green beans would have come to. On top of that I ate:

I ate half a banana and an apple. Also I was allowed to eat a whole cup of vanilla ice cream which I substituted for 187g of Greek yogurt with 30g fruit jam which was probably a lot less calories.

I don’t feel hungry at the moment. I drank nine cups of tea/water throughout the day plus a Vitamin C tablet which was 10 calories.

I did work out my calories just to see how many it was- 964! That’s so so low. I didn’t do any exercise today and I did feel a bit dizzy at times but I just had to drink some water and I was fine!

So that’s the end of day one.

You may wonder what sparked my decision to do this diet. Well. Apparently I weigh 11 stone 0.4 lbs. I cried. I know I have been binging lately but I didn’t deserve to be that weight. Anyway with the wedding approaching it has frightened me into dieting hardcore style.

If any of you have not heard of this diet then go to

It has all the information on there including substitutions and FAQs.

I have been trawling through the vast amount of success stories online especially on YouTube so please look and get inspired.

Im excited to find out my results and see how tomorrow goes! Wish me luck.

Tips for NOT eating (much) on Christmas Day!

As you all know, it is Christmas tomorrow and that for me (and most other people) means food, family and fun. I want to concentrate more on the family and fun parts of those three. Christmas Day is not an excuse to eat everything in sight. I have been researching for the past few weeks on how to overcome the issue of eating too much on Christmas.

No one likes the feeling of being bloated and having eaten so much they feel like they are going to explode so why do we do it? Is it just because it is in front of us? Is it for our family or parents who have slaved for hours prepared vegetables and meat for YOUR benefit. Benefit? No. It is no benefit. It’s to your detriment.

I have compiled a list of hints and tips that I will be following for tomorrow so that although I will eat a lot, I will eat less than I otherwise would have. I will put them in a constructed order too, to show you what my ‘plan’ and routine will be.

1. I will EAT breakfast- this is a good idea (honest)! I will probably eat porridge/oatmeal with raspberries and almond extract which is my absolute favourite at the moment as it tastes just like marzipan which is my arch nemesis in terms of cravings and gluttony.

2. I will drink green and peppermint tea throughout the day. The green tea will increase the speed of my metabolism, in the hope of digesting any bad foods I have eaten quicker. The peppermint tea will act as a mild laxative, acting on my bowel walls to contract and move the food faster through my body. I also find that peppermint decreases my appetite and hence, I will drink it after breakfast, the christmas dinner and any other snacks.

3. Stay away from alcohol and other high calorie beverages. I know this is hard (I’m a student- I KNOW). This has been the cause of all of my weight gain which I then had to lose again. I vow right now that I won’t be drinking any alcohol tomorrow, nor ‘nice’ drinks like J20 or cokes or anything. NO. I was lucky enough to find a 1 calorie per 330ml of ginger beer that I will be drinking throughout the day as well as water and my teas! This will save me 500 calories at least, opposed to years before.

4. Stay away from the chocolates and crisps. These two are the main culprits for high calorie intake on christmas. Even when people are full to beyond belief, they still feel the need to gorge on a ridiculous amount of crisps and chocolate. I would know- I have done this EVERY year up till now. So now, all I can imagine is the years of damage I have done to my body and it makes me so angry. How could I be so ridiculous? No one likes a girl who weighs 11stone 5lbs at 5ft 5! (My highest weight). I neglected my body and now I need to apologise to it by eating good things. As a substitute to chocolate I will be eating nuts which may be high calorie but are full of good nutrients. As a substitute for crisps I will be eating vegetables dipped in various dips which (of course) are also a lot healthier. I will be keeping all of these snacks to a minimum though in preparation for…

5. I’m sitting at the end, in the corner of our big table for dinner, slightly out of eyes view of everyone and slightly away from the HUGE bowl that will inevitably sit on the table FILLED with roast potatoes. Not eating any. I swear, now. I am not eating ANY potatoes because they are the most unhealthy thing on the menu in our house. If anyone disagrees then please let me know.

6. Fill your plate with VEGETABLES and TURKEY/PROTEIN. I am staying clear of the roast potatoes BIG time! I am going to take a photograph of my plate tomorrow in the hope it will motivate me and also so that I can record the calories at the end of the day and upload them to here like I said I would.

7. Have one pudding or one serving of pudding. I don’t know about anyone else but in my house, tomorrow, there will probably be at least five different puddings available. There is christmas pudding, lemon mousse, sticky toffee pudding, trifle and pavlova. So FIVE! That’s not even including the christmas cake. That is ridiculous considering there are only eleven of us adults eating it. Hopefully a lot of it will be taken home by my family and it won’t be lingering in my house. I have just remembered too we have a bunch of other frozen desserts in the freezer too- banoffee pie, lemon cheesecake, after eight ice cream and clotted cream ice cream. Bloody hell. Kill me.

8. Always have a drink of some kind near you, it’ll keep your mouth stimulated and people won’t suspect anything.

9. If the worst happens and people question why you aren’t eating anything then just say you don’t feel well. That’s my plan.

10. Make yourself look pretty and wear tight clothes. No one wants a food baby in a tight skirt or dress. Maybe I’ll show you a picture of me if you’re lucky ;-).

11. Weigh yourself throughout the day, that’ll stop you!

12. Encourage other people to eat more, or offer them food. I will be helping my mum in the kitchen, in the hope of it putting me off eating. Especially if I chew gum, which I will be.

13. Wait for your stomach to rumble before eating anything after christmas dinner. If your body wants more food, it will tell you so just wait for the signal!

Anyway, there are 13 (unlucky for some) tips to get you through Christmas day and just remember eating doesn’t equal happiness. You can have a lovely fun filled family orientated day without food being a buzz killer for you. So maintain your weight loss and don’t be tricked into eating the ‘average’ 6000 calories that every talks about eating.

Good luck,

Personal recent events

When I first began this blog a week ago, I decided that I wasn’t going to talk about this part of my motivation on it, but due to the fact I want to be honest with all of you and discuss all aspects of my motivation with the world, so that you too can get motivated and get those bodies that you have ALWAYS wanted, I am going to.

I was dating someone for a while and we made it exclusive. He’d recently come out of a long term relationship and being aware of this, I made sure that he was going to be honest about contact with his ex and that he was ready for a new relationship. He persuaded me and convinced me that he was ready and even told me he loved me?? I should have realised that he said ALL of it to just get into my pants and it worked. I have never been so frustrated and annoyed at myself when he called it off on the day I returned home from uni. But what could I do? What’s done is done and I can’t do anything now. Or can I?

That’s where my motivation comes in. Although he told me his reasons for calling it off, I can’t help but wonder if I did something wrong. I don’t think I did but I guess I’ll never know. This picture with a quote sums up some of my motivation. I can’t say he treated me wrongly exactly but he did hurt me and I want him to regret it! To regret it as much as I regret having sex with him.

Raw till Four

Just an introduction to freelee the banana girl. She is famous on all forms of social media including youtube, instagram and facebook for her self-proclaimed amazing raw till 4 diet. This means that she can only eat raw fruits and veggies until 4 in the afternoon, then she will eat a cooked dinner of some form of carbohydrate and veggies. She is a vegan and many of her videos aim to educate people on the harsh realities of eating meat and dairy products.

Now, I myself am not a vegan nor do I do this Raw till 4 diet (yet- I may try it one day), but I do like watching her motivational videos to get fit! Her vlogs are my favourites and find her most inspirational. Some of her views/ideas are controversial but I think that’s what makes her great and her body shows the results of the diet.

Yesterday (03/09/14) I attempted the raw till four diet for the first time. I found it great, but I didn’t eat anywhere near the portion sizes that she chooses to eat daily. My body doesn’t need it and that’s where mine and her bodies differ. I do agree with her on many things surrounding the dairy industry and since watching her video on milk and how it is actually a form of pus- I now, NEVER drink it. I took a sip of it by accident, thinking it was a bottle of orange juice from the fridge and spat it out. That’s how much I don’t like it. I will do another blog tomorrow on what food I used to eat all the time and now never do.

Yesterday was in fact the first time I have eaten a banana in over a year! As I am aware of many differing views surrounding them, I never knew whether to eat them or not. Freelee raves about them, I am not so keen/sure. What’re your views?

End of Day Five

Daily Updates

Today was my worst day so far but I will not give up. I could’ve made it a lot better by eating less during the day and exercising but I wanted to recover my knee 100%. I will exercise tomorrow. The problem was it was one of my friend’s birthday and we went out for dinner at Prezzo.

I found it hard to stick to my 1,200 food limit and hence, I was over. I’m pretty gutted, however I should continue to lose weight on this amount, just a less amount. I was quite pleased at myself for being able to keep it this low. I don’t really enjoy going out to eat and really try to avoid it at all costs, I hate the idea that food is the only thing that can bring people together. Pathetic. This is why I hate restaurant dates and will always avoid them. They also have extortionate prices on all their meals compared to making it at home with your own ingredients- a spaghetti bolognaise for £10.50, are you serious? I could make 50 spaghetti bolognaises for that price.

Anyway, here is my update of my rubbish day of the 03/09/14 as I will continue to show all of my progress- both ups and downs:

Breakfast: nectarine 70kcal, green tea 1kcal.

Total: 71kcal.

Lunch: Blueberries 53kcal, banana 100kcal, strawberry and banana aldi smoothie 55kcal.

Total: 208kcal.

Tea: Half a Prezzo garlic bread (no cheese) 140kcal, 3/4 of a prosciutto ham and asparagus flatbread (again, no cheese) 416kcal, diet coke 0kcal.

Total: 556kcal.

Dessert: Chocolate Profiteroles 400kcal.

Total: 400kcal.

Snacks: white chocolate 60kcal, cooked ham 22kcal, mint 10kcal, cranberry juice 72kcal.

No exercise

1.5litres water.

So, as you can see I messed up but I am not that bothered because tomorrow is a new day and I am a young woman who is going to go out for dinner every now and again and I was pretty good for ordering a zero calorie drink, sharing a garlic bread and eating less than 3/4 of my pizza as I didn’t eat the crusts- I didn’t get mozzarella on my pizza either which probably reduced about 200kcal from it.

As I was going to bed tonight, my mum said “I’m worrying about you, you’re so slim and beautiful.” I disagreed and asked why she was worrying. She said “You’ve lost weight on your face, it is looking more defined.” HALLELUJAH! If I have lost weight on my face, I am delighted. It means this diet is WORKING.

However, she is my mum and she sometimes says things like this, just to stop me from losing weight. AND there is something key she said there. I’m so ‘slim’. What is slim? It’s not fat and it’s not thin either. I HATE SLIM. It’s a stupid word and I don’t want to be it. I will continue until I am THIN. She can worry about me then.

I will weigh myself tomorrow and see what it’s like. I will also exercise.

Thinspo/Inspiration Randomer

I recently stumbled up this picture on pinterest. I cannot believe how thin her stomach is. She is sat down and it’s so flat. Regardless of the stupid duck face she is pulling, she has an amazing body. If I could ever get a body like this, I would never be unhappy. I would be so confident in my body.

I will continue to wish and WORK for it! Lets do this.

Scarlett Johansson is my second celebrity girlcrush because she is gorgeous. She has an amazing body- thin waist but curvy. I particularly like the photo of her in the green pencil skirt and beige jumper with blonde hair. I like her because she has green eyes like I do and I got my tragus pierced partly because she does :).
